West Texas and New Mexico

For spring break, Braden and I went on a trip to Balmorhea, Texas and New Mexico. We stayed in the Balmorhea State Park, we've known the Manager there for about 10 years now, Ranger Tom. We stay in his guessed house when we are in town. There were 8 of us total, 4 kids, 3 moms and 1 baby. Oh, and we were all in ONE car. We traveled 2050 miles round trip, in 7 days. I'm happy to be home. Don't get me wrong it was fun.

Braden and I about 5 hours into the trip.

They're so sweet when they're sleeping. Diana and her friend Grace
The Sonora Caverns

We were dig for gems

We just found some fool's gold

We took a two hour tour of the caverns. It was beautiful, the best caverns I've ever been in.
This is called Apple Sauce
I can't remember what this one was called
When we got to Balmorhea, we were unpacking so the kids went to the park to play. Ten minute later, I see my brother running towards the front door screaming. He is covered in blood. He had fell off the slide and crack his head . My mom ran him to the hospital. The poor little guy had to get 3 stitches.
Day 3 We all went swimming, the park has a hot spring with a pool built around it. It's huge.

Day 4&5 Riudoso, New Mexico
We took a day trip to Riudoso and went tubing down a mountain. It was a lot of fun.
We took turns watching Braden, that's why he and I are not in the picture. They went tubin first.

Me and my little man at Ski Apache Day 6 The night before we left. The small town of Balmorhea, with 500 people had their own Circus. It was the most interesting circus I've ever seen.
The boys seemed to like it. Their eyes were glued.

After the circus, we decorated Easter eggs.

After all the sweet little children went to bed, we got out for a little toast, we toasted to the last night of the trip.
